more henna

Well, I'm waiting to get the James Cd's before I post about the Gold visit and the James concert, but had to post this henna fun before then. Qacei (part of the Gold family who came to stay with us) has a lot of artistic talent. It was great having her here to be artsy with. She was here the same time as Annie so I was in heaven! Anyway, here's the scoop:

Socks

I love this yarn. It's very fun to knit with. Nina are you ready? They almost are!

I love this version - it has ribbing on the top in a diamond pattern to keep it snug around the ankle. This, I'm hoping, will make it not bunch up when they are worn with clogs.

Kata

I was up early today...and Kai awoke soon after. We headed out to to karate. They practiced the katas : the basic forms. Here are a few pictures from today.

the last Beach park Day

Thanks to Mandy, I was able to put together this slide show of the last beach day. This is only a few of the people who were there and only a very small sampling of the fun we had. It shows how much we enjoy our time, though. We got there at 11:30 and got home about 8:30. After sunset, we headed out to dinner with a few of our friends. We had a blast and hope to do it again soon! Enjoy.

Company!!!

Well, we are having a blast tonight! And this weekend. Mary comes in. She's going to James and we are tagging along! Flo, Gardenia, Kate and I - fun times are going to be had. Annie arrives around 9:30 tonight, too! Yes!!!!
