Happenings

After about 3 hours of constant food prep, we were off to the bank and post office yesterday. The boys don't really enjoy going, but like to mess around in line! At the post office, the boys were able to help out with the graduation mailings. It seems impossible that we know so many graduates. How proud we are of them! How happy we are to have such great 'kids' joining us in this 'grown-up' world.

We had time to spare between the post office and karate. We decided to hit Jamba. I love how they decide what they want. It starts in the parking lot. The idea of one, then the thought of another...and another...and another. As the one who ends up ordering, for it is much more fun to find a high stool to sit on, I am supposed to remember what it was they last said (which may have been returning to the second or third one mentioned). So I try to make it a game...and this time was successful in getting them to say a final order! Big K fed little K the 'Scoobie snacks' - cheddar ducks for the rest of us - while they were pretending to be Shaggy and Scoobie. Quite humorous for all!

I was thrilled to see the karate class today. It was chilly outside for me, so I went in. Lil K stayed out and played with his legos. I was able to see him through the window and there were other adults out there. He was so content to be there and play on his own. Must have been those Scoobie snacks! Big K is so focused in class. Sensei Paul really worked them hard. The whole class was sweaty when they were done. I wonder if he doesn't work them harder when they show low motivation at the beginning of class! They ended with kata practice. It looks so cool! I'll try and film it next time!

We got home and vegged for the evening. I think Big K is growing right now because he literally eats much. It's not always this way, but it is right now.

They had some great Dad time last night too.

Now it's morning(ish) and Tom and Jerry is on. Lots of laughter happening here!
